Anticode vs Instapage: personalised pages for every ad, or one site designed and checked

Instapage is made for advertising teams that need a landing page per ad and audience, server-side experiments and collaboration on page designs, with plans sized by unique monthly visitors. Anticode is for people who need one designed, checked site rather than many campaign variants: it writes and lays out the pages from a description and blocks publishing until the checks pass.

The short answer

Instapage makes sense when landing pages are produced at volume for paid media: a page per ad group, copy that changes with the visitor's search terms, experiments run server-side without flicker, and reviewers commenting on designs in place. Anticode makes sense when there's one site to get right, such as a company site, a product launch or a service business, and you'd rather describe it than assemble it, with design and security checks done for you.

Building pages on each

According to Instapage's plans page, every plan includes a drag-and-drop website and landing page builder, reusable blocks and forms, triggered popups and sticky bars, AI-written headlines and copy variations, contacts and branded email, and Collections: sets of programmatic pages that share a template and a content table. Custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript can be added to any page. Its features page adds master accounts for switching between client accounts, account-wide audit logs and visual collaboration where teammates and clients comment on the page builder.

Anticode turns a sentence into a site. The Architect checks what you mean with up to three questions, then the design engine composes the pages in one of seven design systems, and the Critic runs nineteen design checks on the result. Clients review through a link to the current preview, with comments tied to a section, without needing an account.

Plans and visitor limits

As of 24 October 2026, the plans page shows prices with a dollar sign but no named currency, per month, with up to 20% off for annual billing. Create is $99 a month billed monthly or $79 billed annually, for 15,000 unique monthly visitors. Optimize is $199 or $159, for 30,000 visitors, with higher traffic tiers available. Convert is priced on request. All three include unlimited pages, conversions and contacts, and Create and Optimize start with a 14-day free trial.

The Convert plan carries several things larger advertisers ask for: ad-to-page personalisation, which Instapage's personalisation page describes as attaching page experiences to audiences through UTM parameters, plus global blocks, heatmaps, publishing on a root domain such as yoursite.com, and direct lead bypass, which sends leads to your CRM without passing through Instapage's servers. Anticode doesn't meter visitors; its plans carry a building allowance, a quote before each build and your own domain on any paid plan. Amounts are on pricing.

Where the leads go

Lead handling is a real difference. Instapage's lighter plans keep contacts and send email from Instapage itself, with multi-step forms on Optimize and direct lead bypass on Convert. Anticode keeps submissions sealed at rest with AES-256-GCM, lets you set how long they're kept, and can pass each one to HubSpot, Mailchimp, Kit, Airtable, Slack or a webhook. A site that collects data can't be published until the account owner and the person publishing have two-factor sign-in turned on. See sending website leads to a CRM for the set-up.

Where Instapage is the better choice

  • A page for every ad. Collections and personalisation produce many matching pages from one template.
  • Experiments without flicker. Server-side A/B tests with your own traffic split, on Optimize.
  • Design reviews in the builder. Teammates and clients annotate pages in place.
  • Agency accounts. Master accounts switch between client workspaces without separate logins.

Where Anticode is the better choice

  • You need the site, not a campaign system. Several designed pages from one description.
  • Checks that block publishing. Alt text, keyboard focus, page language and twelve security checks.
  • Pricing that ignores traffic. A busy month costs the same as a quiet one.
  • Portable code. Export to one HTML file or a Next.js project you can host yourself.

Who should pick which

An in-house paid media team or an agency running campaigns for several brands is Instapage's audience, and its testing and personalisation pay off with steady ad traffic. A startup, a professional practice or a small team that needs one well-made site and a few outbound campaign pages will get there faster with Anticode. Other options are in Instapage alternatives.

Anticode's limits

No A/B testing, personalisation, heatmaps, popups or sticky bars, and no custom scripts or tracking pixels on design-engine pages, which run no JavaScript. Analytics count views per site, not per page. Built-in forms have fixed fields (a custom form with a site function takes up to 30), there's one payment link per account, and the builder and its sites are English only.
