Instapage alternatives when you need one good page more than ad personalisation
Instapage is priced and built for paid-media teams: personalised pages for each ad, server-side A/B tests, heatmaps on its top tier and a large visitor allowance. If you're paying for it to host one launch page or a short campaign, cheaper Instapage alternatives will likely cover the job. Before you switch, read how Instapage handles cancellation, because the order of steps matters.
What Instapage's plans are built around
Instapage's features page lists personalisation, AdMap, AI-assisted experiments, AI content and on-page collaboration where teammates and clients comment on a design. The plans page, as of 24 October 2026, prices in dollars without naming the currency and offers monthly or annual billing, saving up to 20% annually.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual, per month | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Create | $99 | $79 | 15,000 unique monthly visitors, unlimited pages and conversions, 10 team members |
| Optimize | $199 | $159 | 30,000 visitors (50,000 expanded), server-side A/B testing, dynamic text replacement |
| Convert | Custom | Custom | Ad-to-page personalisation, heatmaps, root domain publishing |
Both self-serve plans start with a 14-day trial that needs a card and is limited to 2,500 visitors. A/B testing begins on Optimize and per-ad personalisation on Convert, so a team that publishes one page and never tests is paying for the Create tier's builder and allowance.
How cancelling works, in order
Instapage's help article Termination of contract sets out the process. During the trial you cancel in your account settings. On a paid plan, the account owner requests cancellation by email from the address on the account, and it takes effect from the next billing cycle. After that you keep the Free Builder and can see past analytics and submissions, but pages need a subscription for live URLs, and you can't collect new leads. Once the account is terminated, you can ask to download your content within 30 days; after that Instapage may delete it.
- Download leads while you're still paying. The lead management guide says you pick a date range and one page or experience, then download as txt, csv or xlsx. Bulk download across pages depends on your plan.
- Check embedded forms. The same guide says leads from embedded forms aren't stored in Instapage; they're in the tool that made the form.
- Save pages and analytics. Instapage itself recommends downloading pages, leads and analytics before the subscription ends.
- Repoint ad links. Update every ad, email and QR code that points at an Instapage URL before the pages stop resolving.
- Then send the cancellation request.
Four options to compare
| Option | Suits | From its own pages |
|---|---|---|
| Unbounce | Teams that still want testing at a lower entry price | Its pricing page lists Experiment, with unlimited A/B testing, at $149 a month in USD |
| Leadpages | Small lead-capture campaigns | Its pricing page lists Pro at $29 a month for one site and 25 pages |
| Carrd | A single page for very little | Pro Standard is $19 a year for ten sites with custom domains and forms |
| Anticode | One designed page or a small site, with leads sent to your tools | No testing, personalisation or ad pixels |
Where Anticode fits
Anticode is for the case where the page's quality matters more than its variants: a product launch, an event, a waitlist. The Architect turns a short description into a plan, and the Designer holds it to one design system, so you get one carefully set page rather than a template you'll test your way out of. Instead of Instapage's in-builder comments, a client review link shows the preview to anyone, with comments pinned to sections.
Forms collect sign-ups and enquiries, keep them sealed at rest and can email you, and connectors forward them to HubSpot, Mailchimp, Kit, Slack or a webhook. The dashboard counts page views per day by source without cookies, including referrals from AI assistants. For a page that pays its way, see what a PPC landing page needs and how to qualify website leads.
What you lose by leaving Instapage
- Ad-level personalisation. Anticode pages are the same for every visitor; there's no dynamic text or per-ad variant.
- Experiments and heatmaps. None are built in.
- Conversion pixels. Pages run no scripts, so ad platforms can't track conversions on them through a pixel. If your bidding depends on it, this rules Anticode out.
- Team scale. Anticode has team workspaces with seats, but nothing like per-client workspaces with their own visitor allowances.
- Language. Pages are built in English only.
Who should stay on Instapage
If you run large paid campaigns where each ad group gets its own page, test continuously and need heatmaps and personalisation to justify spend, Instapage's Optimize and Convert plans are aimed squarely at you, and the cheaper tools here don't attempt the same thing. The test is simple: count how many pages and experiments you ran last quarter. If the answer is one page and none, you're paying for capacity you don't use.
