Anticode vs Unbounce: pages tested for paid campaigns, or a site checked before launch
Unbounce is built for marketers running paid campaigns: many landing pages, variants tested against each other, and AI that routes each visitor to the version most likely to convert, with plans sized by monthly traffic. Anticode builds one designed site or launch page from a sentence and checks it before it goes live, but has no testing tools. If you test ads every week, Unbounce fits; if you need one good page, Anticode does.
The short answer
Choose Unbounce if landing pages are part of a paid acquisition process: you run ad groups, want a page per audience, split traffic between variants and read conversion reports. Choose Anticode if you need a launch page or small business site that looks designed, takes sign-ups and enquiries, and is checked for accessibility and security basics, and you don't need experiments to decide between versions.
How each one approaches a landing page
Unbounce's landing page product page describes a drag-and-drop builder with 100+ templates, popups and sticky bars, custom scripts, and dynamic text replacement that matches page copy to the visitor's search terms. Pages can now also be built and managed from AI assistants: Unbounce's MCP server connects to Claude and ChatGPT, can start from a Figma template or a copy document, and is included with every plan.
Anticode starts from a description of the offer. The Architect asks up to three questions that change the build, the design engine lays out the page in one of seven design systems, and the Critic's nineteen design checks look for the habits that make generated pages look alike: a third font, purple-blue gradients, stock AI phrases, placeholder text. You then adjust it with the visual editor or by asking for changes in words.

Plans and traffic limits
As of 24 October 2026, Unbounce's pricing page lists plans in USD per month, with 25% off for yearly billing. Starter is $29 monthly or $22 billed annually, for 5 pages and traffic up to 500, one user and one root domain. Build is $99 or $74, with unlimited pages, custom code and traffic up to 20k. Experiment is $149 or $112, adding unlimited A/B testing, three users and two root domains. Optimize is $249 or $187, adding AI traffic routing and traffic up to 50k. Concierge and Agency are quoted. Every plan includes unlimited conversions, free hosting and a monthly AI credit allowance; the 14-day trial has one user and no custom domains.
Anticode's plans don't count visitors or pages. You get a daily and weekly building allowance, a quote before each build and a receipt afterwards; publishing and traffic aren't metered. Amounts are on pricing.
Testing, routing and measuring
This is where the two differ most. Unbounce's Smart Traffic page explains that you create as many variants as you like and AI sends each visitor to the one that converts best for people like them, judged by device, location, browser and similar attributes. Manual A/B tests with your own traffic split sit on the Experiment plan.
Anticode has no A/B testing, variants, heatmaps or personalisation. Its analytics count page views per site per day and by source, without cookies, including referrals from AI assistants. To compare two versions you would publish two sites and compare their sources yourself, which is a workaround rather than an experiment. For lead capture, though, the forms are ready: submissions are sealed at rest and can go straight to HubSpot, Mailchimp, Kit, Slack or a webhook, as described in routing contact form enquiries.
Where Unbounce is the better choice
- You test every campaign. Variants, traffic splits and conversion reporting are built in.
- Ad-matched copy. Dynamic text replacement mirrors the search term on the page.
- Many pages at once. Unlimited pages from Build up, with popups and sticky bars.
- Your own scripts. Tracking pixels and custom code are supported on Build and above.
Where Anticode is the better choice
- A page that looks designed without a designer. Type, colour and spacing come from one design system.
- Checks before going live. Missing alt text, page language or keyboard focus blocks publishing.
- No traffic caps on the plan. Pricing follows building, not visitors.
- A site, not just a page. Add Services, About, Pricing and Contact pages, and export the code.
Who should pick which
A performance marketer or agency spending on search and social ads, and judged on cost per lead, will get more from Unbounce's testing. A founder launching a product, a consultant with one offer, or a small business that wants a launch page without managing experiments will find Anticode simpler. More options are in Unbounce alternatives.
Anticode's limits
No A/B or multivariate testing, no heatmaps, no third-party tracking scripts on design-engine pages, and no popups or sticky bars. Built-in forms have fixed fields (a custom form with a site function takes up to 30), payment is through one checkout link per account, and the builder works in English only. Unbounce facts above come from its own pages on 24 October 2026.
Questions people ask
Does Unbounce include A/B testing on every plan?
No. Its pricing page lists unlimited A/B testing from the Experiment plan, and AI traffic routing (Smart Traffic) on Optimize.
Can I add Google Ads or Meta pixels to an Anticode page?
Not on design-engine pages: they run no scripts at all. Anticode's own analytics show views by source without cookies.
Can I use both?
You can. One way is to keep the main site on Anticode at your domain and point a separate subdomain at Unbounce for campaign pages and tests.
