Anticode vs Zoho Sites: a builder inside the Zoho suite, or one that stands alone

Zoho Sites is the website builder inside Zoho's family of business apps: it generates pages from a prompt, edits them visually, and sends leads into Zoho CRM, Zoho Forms or Bigin. Anticode stands on its own, builds and checks a site from a description, and sends form submissions to outside tools through its own connectors. If your business already runs on Zoho, Zoho Sites fits in; if it doesn't, Anticode asks for less setup.

The short answer

Choose Zoho Sites if you already use Zoho CRM, Zoho Forms or Bigin and want enquiries from the website to land straight in those records, or if you want a visual editor with custom CSS and widgets. Choose Anticode if you don't live in one vendor's suite, want a finished multi-page site from a short description, and want submissions sent to the tools you already use, such as Slack, Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion or HubSpot.

How each one builds

Zoho's Sites home page describes an AI website builder: you build with AI prompts and customise every detail visually, with responsive previews, reusable components, templates and a template-to-page feature for producing many similar pages from one layout. Developers can add custom CSS and build custom widgets with React and the Zoho Sites SDK.

Anticode's Architect asks up to three questions that would change the build, each with suggested answers, and then shows a short plan before anything is made. The design engine builds the pages to one of seven design systems, the Critic runs nineteen design checks, and the Sentinel runs twelve security checks on the HTML that will ship. You refine it afterwards by editing text in place, dragging sections or asking for changes in a sentence.

Where the leads go

This is the real difference. Zoho's lead capture page says Sites' built-in forms integrate with Zoho Forms, that you can embed Zoho CRM forms so submissions go straight into the CRM for automation, lead scoring and follow-up, and that Bigin forms sync with Bigin's CRM. For a sales team already working in Zoho, that removes a step.

Anticode keeps its own record of every contact, booking and newsletter submission, sealed at rest, and can email you each one. It then sends them to whichever connectors you enable: Slack, Discord, Telegram, Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Kit or any webhook. Connectors belong to the account rather than one site, so every site's submissions arrive tagged with that site's name. There's no Zoho connector; a webhook to your own endpoint is the route if you need one. The form connectors page lists what each one receives.

Plans and limits

On 24 October 2026 Zoho's pricing page loaded its plan prices by region and currency, so we haven't quoted figures here; open the page to see the amounts for your country. It does list a 15-day free trial with no card, monthly or yearly billing (yearly saving up to 50%), and four plans with fixed limits: Lite allows 1 page, 1 form and 50 form submissions a month; Basic 5 pages and 500 submissions; Plus 25 pages, 10 forms and 1,500 submissions; Advanced 100 pages, 50 forms and 10,000 submissions. Each includes a monthly allowance of AI credits, from 1,000 on Lite to 6,000 on Advanced, and the bandwidth note says a site that exceeds its limit two months running is suspended.

Anticode's plans aren't limited by page count. You get a daily and a weekly building allowance, a quote before each build and nothing counted for failures. Free sites keep 100 form submissions a month visible by default and hold the rest until you upgrade. Prices are on the pricing page.

Where Zoho Sites is the better choice

  • You already pay for Zoho. CRM, Forms and Bigin forms connect natively, with no webhook in between.
  • Developers on the team. Custom CSS and React widgets through the Zoho Sites SDK give more room than Anticode's code editor, which keeps only text, section order and colour tokens.
  • Many similar pages. Template-to-page generation suits catalogues of locations or services.
  • A member portal. The Advanced plan lists a Portal with a members add-on; Anticode's published sites have no visitor accounts.

Where Anticode is the better choice

  • Tools outside one suite. Ten connectors, from Slack to Airtable to HubSpot, plus webhooks.
  • Checks before going live. Pages without alt text, keyboard focus or a page language can't be published.
  • Code you can keep. Export a single HTML file or a Next.js project and push it to GitHub.
  • Bookings included. A built-in booking calendar that refuses double bookings, with no separate scheduling app.

Who should pick which

A company whose sales team works in Zoho CRM every day should look hard at Zoho Sites. A freelancer, clinic or shop that keeps leads in a spreadsheet, Notion or HubSpot, and wants a site that's designed and checked without configuring forms, should try Anticode. Zoho Sites alternatives covers other options.

Anticode's limits

No Zoho integration, fixed fields on built-in forms (custom forms need a site function), booking times fixed at six slots a day, no member areas on published sites, no video or embeds on design-engine pages and an English-only builder. Zoho details come from Zoho's own pages on 24 October 2026; tell us through the contact page if anything has changed.
