Anticode vs Readdy: sites from prompts, screenshots or URLs, or a quoted, checked build
Readdy generates multi-page sites from a prompt, a screenshot, a Figma frame or another site's URL, lets you click any element to edit it, and charges in credits, refunding them when you discard a generation. Anticode quotes each build before it runs, holds the site to one of seven design systems, and lints and security-scans it before it can be published. Readdy starts from more kinds of input; Anticode checks more of what comes out.
The short answer
Choose Readdy if you want to start from a screenshot, a Figma frame or a site you admire, edit freely by clicking elements, and you're comfortable budgeting in credits. Choose Anticode if you'd rather start from a description, want to know what each build costs before it runs, and want design and security checks that block publishing when something basic is missing.
How each one builds
Readdy's home page lists four starting points: plain text, a template, an image such as a screenshot, branding mock or Figma frame, or a reference URL whose structure and visual logic it learns from. It generates pages with navigation, and you edit by clicking any element to change text, images, colours and spacing, or by asking the AI. Version history lets you go back.
Anticode starts from words. The Architect reads your request, summarises any links you include into the brief, asks up to three questions that change the build and shows a plan. The Designer then commits to one of seven design systems, the Critic runs nineteen design checks, and Sentinel runs twelve security checks on the HTML. You can then edit text in place, drag sections, resize elements on a column grid or ask for changes in words, with recent saves kept as versions you can restore.

Credits versus a quote
As of 24 October 2026, Readdy's pricing page shows dollar prices without naming the currency, with discounts for one, two or three years. The Free plan has 250 credits a month and no live site. Starter is $25 a month billed monthly or $15 a month on a one-year plan, with one site and one free custom domain; Pro is $40 a month, or $24 on a one-year plan, with two sites. Agency and white-label tiers cost more. One-year plans grant the year's credits up front. Credit Care discards an unsatisfactory AI generation, restores the previous version and refunds the credits used, up to a monthly number per plan.
Readdy's plans documentation adds that paid plans include Readdy Backend, described as built-in databases, functions, forms and app logic.
Anticode measures usage differently: a daily and a weekly allowance based on what each build actually cost. The builder shows a quote before each build, every build gets a receipt with the model, tokens and share of your limits, and refused or failed builds are marked "Not charged". Credit packs only cover going past the allowance and never expire. See pricing.
Where Readdy is the better choice
- Starting from a picture or another site. Upload a screenshot or Figma frame, or paste a URL to borrow its structure. Anticode has no Figma import and reads links only as notes for the brief.
- Click-anything editing. Change any element's text, image, colour or spacing directly.
- A backend for app logic. Readdy Backend covers databases, functions and forms on paid plans.
- Agency extras. Higher tiers list client management, outreach campaigns and a fully white-labelled platform.
Where Anticode is the better choice
- Cost known before you build. A quote first and a receipt after, with nothing charged for failures.
- Checks that hold the line. A page without alt text, visible focus, reduced-motion support or a language can't be published.
- One design system per site. Fonts, colour and radius stay consistent as the site grows.
- Scriptless pages. Published design-engine pages run no JavaScript, and the server re-runs key security checks at publish.
Who should pick which
A designer who wants to turn a mood board screenshot into a live site, or an agency that resells sites under its own brand, will find Readdy's inputs and agency tiers useful. A small business that wants a tidy, accessible site, a booking calendar and a predictable bill should try Anticode. Writing a good description helps either tool: see AI website builder prompt examples.
Anticode's limits
No screenshot, URL-cloning or Figma import, no free-form canvas, no embeds, no shopping cart, no visitor accounts on design-engine sites and an English-only builder. Payments run through links from Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Shopify or Whop. Readdy facts come from its own pages as read on 24 October 2026; corrections are welcome via the contact page.
