A photo booth business website where clients pick a booth and claim the date

A photo booth hire business sells one booth to one event per date, which is exactly how a simple booking calendar works. A photo booth business website should show each booth, compare packages clearly, prove the prints look good, and let a client claim their date. Here's the structure, and how Anticode's booking calendar fits it.

Booth types, each with its own page

Clients often don't know the difference between an enclosed booth, an open-air booth, a mirror booth, a 360 video platform and a GIF station. Give each its own page in a CMS collection, with the same fields:

  • What it is and the kind of event it suits (an enclosed booth keeps things private for a wedding crowd; an open-air setup fits large groups).
  • Floor space needed, ceiling height, and access for setting up.
  • Power and whether it needs to be indoors.
  • Output: prints, digital copies, GIFs, video clips, and how guests receive them.
  • Photos of the booth set up at a real venue, and of a real print strip.

Date booking: one booth, one event

Set each booth up as a service on Anticode's booking calendar. The form asks for the service, day, time, name, phone and email. The calendar offers six fixed times a day (Mondays skipped) and holds one booking per booth per time, so a second client could still pick another time on the same Saturday; say on the page that the time is nominal, check each booking and confirm the date yourself. Dates more than 120 days out are refused.

That 120-day window is the catch for this trade: weddings are often booked a year or more ahead. For those, use a date enquiry form alongside the calendar, and say on the booking page that dates further out are taken by enquiry. The calendar takes no deposit either, so follow each booking with a payment link for the booking fee and say how long you'll hold the date while it's paid.

If you own two of the same booth, set them up as two services ("Classic booth A" and "Classic booth B") or take bookings by request; the calendar doesn't count units.

A quote form for anything unusual

A custom form tied to a site function can ask for event date, venue, booth, hours, guest numbers and extras, and a formula can show an estimated price on the thank-you page, including a travel charge by distance band. The calculation happens on the server when the client sends the form. Submissions can go to email and, through connectors, to a Slack channel or Google Sheet.

A photo booth site sells on its pictures, so the gallery matters, but a hundred blurry party photos don't help. Show a curated set: the booth set up at different venues, sample print templates, a few candid guest shots with permission, and a backdrop selection. Keep galleries per event type in the CMS so a corporate client sees branded templates and a couple sees wedding ones. Videos and 360 clips can't be embedded on published pages; link to them on your video host. Image alt text is checked by Anticode's design gate before publishing.

Corporate clients

Brand activations, office parties and trade shows want different things: branded templates and backdrops, data capture rules for any guest emails your booth collects, invoicing, insurance documents and venue risk assessments. Give them a page that covers those and a separate enquiry form asking for company, event, date, location and branding needs. Related: event planners and party rentals.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Packages named "Gold", "Silver" and "Bronze" with no explanation of what differs.
  • No mention of space and power, leading to awkward calls with venues.
  • A gallery with no indication of which booth took each picture.
  • Hiding the travel area until the quote.

Limits

  • Calendar bookings only up to 120 days ahead; take later dates by enquiry.
  • No deposits on the booking form; use payment links.
  • No unit counting across identical booths.
  • No embedded video or 360 clips; link to them.

Questions people ask

Can clients book a photo booth by date online?

Yes, as a request. Each booth is a service on the booking calendar, one booking per time slot, up to 120 days ahead, and you confirm the date. Later dates go through an enquiry form.

How do I take the booking fee?

Send a payment link from your payment provider after the booking, and state how long you'll hold the date while it's paid.

Can I show 360 booth videos?

Link to them on a video host. Published Anticode pages don't allow embedded players.
