Anticode vs 10Web: an AI-built WordPress site, or plain HTML with nothing to update

10Web generates a site with AI and runs it on a WordPress backend that it hosts and updates, so you get WordPress plugins, WooCommerce and full database access. Anticode publishes plain HTML and CSS with no scripts, so there are no plugins, themes or core updates to look after. If you want the WordPress ecosystem, 10Web gives you it with the setup done; if you want less to maintain, Anticode does.

The short answer

Choose 10Web if you want a WordPress site without installing WordPress yourself: plugins for almost anything, a WooCommerce store, and the freedom to hire any WordPress developer later. Choose Anticode if you want a site from a description that ships as static pages, held to a design system and security-checked before it goes live, with nothing that needs patching afterwards.

How each one builds

10Web's AI website builder page says you describe the business, then edit by asking the AI for a change or by hand. You can start from an old site, a Google profile, a Figma file or just an idea, and it can generate a complete online store alongside the site. Every project includes hosting, a free domain, SSL, backups, payments, a CMS and a WordPress backend.

Anticode's Architect reads your request, asks up to three questions that change the build and shows a plan with sections, look and features. The design engine then lays out the pages and the Critic runs nineteen design checks. The result is plain HTML and CSS with a Content-Security-Policy of script-src 'none': no JavaScript runs on the published page at all.

Maintenance: plugins versus no scripts

A WordPress site is software that keeps changing: core releases, theme updates and plugin updates, each a possible source of breakage or vulnerability. 10Web's managed hosting page lists automated WordPress core and plugin updates, a malware removal programme, automated daily backups and Cloudflare bot and DDoS protection, so much of that work is handled for you.

Anticode removes the moving parts instead. Published design-engine pages contain no scripts, Sentinel runs twelve security checks on the exact HTML that ships, and the server re-runs the checks that matter at publish. The last ten published versions are backed up, and file hashes recorded at publish are checked by an hourly scan, so each site is checked about once a day. The trade-off is real: there's no plugin directory to add features from, and no embeds on published pages.

How you pay

As of 24 October 2026, 10Web's pricing page shows dollar prices without naming the currency, defaulting to yearly billing at 50% off. AI Starter is $10 a month when you pay $120 for 12 months (regular price $240), for one website with 100 AI credits a month and 10,000 monthly visitors. AI Premium is $15 a month ($180 a year) for two websites, and AI Ultimate is $22.5 a month ($270 a year) for four. Agency plans add white labelling and more sites.

Anticode isn't priced per website. Plans carry a daily and a weekly allowance measured by what each build actually cost, with a quote before every build and nothing charged for failed ones. Free sites show a small badge that paid plans remove. Details are on the pricing page.

Where 10Web is the better choice

  • You need a specific plugin. Membership, forums, LMS or anything else the WordPress ecosystem already solves.
  • A real online store. WooCommerce with a cart and checkout; Anticode has payment links only.
  • A blog with comments and scheduling. WordPress does this natively. Anticode's CMS collections have no comments, RSS or scheduling.
  • Developer access. SFTP, SSH and the database, and any WordPress developer can pick the site up.
  • Starting from an existing site or Figma file. Anticode has no WordPress or Figma import.

Where Anticode is the better choice

  • Nothing to update. No core, theme or plugin releases to apply or test.
  • A smaller attack surface. Pages that run no scripts, with publishing blocked if key security checks fail.
  • Consistent design. One design system per site, checked for focus states, alt text and font discipline.
  • Portable output. A single HTML file or a Next.js project, rather than a WordPress install and its database.

Who should pick which

A shop that needs stock, shipping options and a cart, or a publisher that wants comments and scheduled posts, should look at 10Web. A consultant, studio or local service business that wants a few clean pages, a booking calendar and an enquiry form, and never wants to think about plugin updates, should try Anticode. Moving off WordPress? Move a small WordPress site covers what to bring across.

Anticode's limits

No plugins, no embeds, no shopping cart, no inventory, shipping or tax handling, and no WordPress import. Payments go through a link from Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Shopify or Whop. The builder is English only. Facts about 10Web come from its own pages on 24 October 2026; tell us through the contact page if they've changed.

Questions people ask

Is a 10Web site a WordPress site?

Yes. 10Web's pages describe a WordPress backend for every project, with plugin support and WooCommerce for stores.

Can I move a 10Web site to Anticode?

There's no import. Describe the site to Anticode, let it build, then copy your text and photos across.

Does Anticode support WordPress plugins?

No. Anticode doesn't run WordPress. Forms, bookings, connectors and payment links are built in, and anything else needs a link out or the Next.js export.
