Strikingly alternatives for sites that have outgrown a quick template

Strikingly pitches itself on making a website in minutes from a template. The search for Strikingly alternatives usually starts when the site needs more pages, more products or a look the templates don't reach. Before moving, know one thing from Strikingly's own help centre: there's no export, so you'll rebuild rather than transfer.

Where Strikingly's plans draw the lines

Strikingly's home page pitches making a website in minutes: pick a template, edit, publish, and add its Simple Store with PayPal or Stripe to sell. The pricing page, as of 24 October 2026, lists three plans in USD with the prices billed yearly; monthly and multi-year terms are offered without prices shown.

Strikingly plans, USD billed yearly, as of 24 October 2026
PlanPricePages per siteSellingNotable extras
Limited$8 a monthUp to 5One product, 5% transaction feeConnect one custom domain
Pro$16 a monthUp to 100Up to 300 products, 2% feeNo Strikingly branding, custom forms, password protection, memberships, custom code
VIP$49 a monthNot statedUp to 500 products, 0% feeMultiple membership tiers, multi-language translation, newsletters, live chat widget

Those limits explain most moves. A Limited site stops at five pages and one product, and a growing shop on Pro pays a fee on each sale. Neither is a flaw; it's how the plans are cut. If the site has grown past them, compare the cost of moving up a tier with the cost of rebuilding somewhere else.

No export: what that means in practice

Strikingly's article Leaving Strikingly / Export Site says exporting sites isn't allowed yet. When you leave, you can downgrade to a free mystrikingly.com site or delete it, and you'll rebuild elsewhere. If you bought a domain through Strikingly you keep the rights to it; transferring it out goes through Strikingly support, and email set up on that domain stops working.

  1. Copy the text of every section and page into a document, in order.
  2. Gather your original images from your own files.
  3. Write down products, prices and variants, and keep a record of past orders if you sell.
  4. Note each form's fields and the address its messages go to.
  5. Set up new email for your domain before you transfer it, so nothing bounces.

Where Anticode fits

Anticode suits the site that has outgrown a template and needs structure. You tell the Architect what the business does and it proposes a plan with sections and, if you want them, separate pages for Work, Services, About, Pricing, FAQ, Book and Contact. The look comes from one of seven design systems rather than a template, so the result is held to a type and colour system instead of a layout someone else also picked.

To sell, point buy and pricing buttons at a checkout link from Stripe Payment Links, PayPal, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Shopify or Whop; the payment goes through your own provider's checkout. There's one payment link per account, so every buy button opens the same checkout; for several products, link to a product list or multi-item checkout at the provider. Contact, booking and newsletter forms save submissions and can email you. Connect your domain on a paid plan, and paid plans carry no Anticode badge. For selling specifics, see payment links.

What Strikingly has that Anticode doesn't

  • Memberships and passwords. Strikingly Pro lists memberships and password protection. Anticode's published sites are public at their address, with no visitor logins.
  • A built-in store. Anticode has no cart, inventory, shipping or tax handling, only links to your provider's checkout.
  • Translation. Strikingly VIP lists multi-language translation; Anticode is English only.
  • Live chat and embeds. Anticode pages run no scripts and can't embed widgets.
  • Import. Nothing moves across automatically; you describe the site and paste your text.

When to stay on Strikingly

If your site is one page or a handful, sells a few products and does what you need, Strikingly's lower tiers are a fair deal and rebuilding buys you little. Moving makes sense when you've hit a plan limit and the next tier costs more than you want to pay, or when the design no longer represents the business. Either way, keep your text and images in your own files, since Strikingly can't hand you a copy of the site.

Questions people ask

Can I export my Strikingly site?

No. Strikingly's help centre says exporting sites isn't allowed yet, so you'll need to rebuild the site elsewhere.

What happens to my domain if I leave Strikingly?

If you bought it through Strikingly you keep the rights. Ask Strikingly support to transfer it, and set up new email first, since email on that domain stops working.

Which strikingly alternatives suit a one-page site?

Carrd suits a single page, and its Pro plans are billed yearly, from $19 a year with custom domains and forms. Anticode can also build a one-page site, as one kind among several.

Does Anticode support password-protected pages?

No. A published Anticode site is public at its address, and there are no member areas.
