Website form to Discord: every submission in your server, mentions switched off
Create a webhook on a Discord channel, paste its URL into Anticode's Discord connector, and each form sent on your published sites appears there as a message within about a minute. Anticode posts with mentions turned off, so a visitor who types @everyone or @here can't wake up your whole server.
Why route forms into Discord
Plenty of small communities, game studios, clubs and creator teams already run on Discord and don't use Slack or a shared inbox at all. Sending a website form to Discord puts new enquiries, booking requests and newsletter sign-ups in a channel the team reads anyway, where moderators can react, thread a reply and agree who answers. It needs no bot hosting and no code: a channel webhook is enough.
Setting it up
You need permission to manage webhooks on the channel (Discord calls it Manage Webhooks), which server owners and most admins have.
- In Discord, open the channel's settings, go to Integrations › Webhooks and create a new webhook. Give it a name such as "Website forms" and, if you like, an avatar.
- Copy the webhook URL. It looks like
https://discord.com/api/webhooks/followed by a number and a token. - In the Anticode dashboard, open Connectors, choose Discord, paste it into Webhook URL and press Save and turn on.
- Press Send a test and check the channel for a sample message from your webhook.
Anticode checks the address before saving. It accepts discord.com and discordapp.com webhook URLs, including the canary and ptb variants, and refuses anything else with a message saying what a Discord webhook URL looks like.
The message your team sees
The first line is bold and names the form and the project, for example New booking request on Northside Climbing. Below it, each field sits on its own line as name: value. A booking lists service, day, time, name, phone and email; a contact message lists name, email and message; a newsletter sign-up or invite request has only the email.
Discord's Execute Webhook endpoint accepts up to 2,000 characters of content, so Anticode trims each post to 1,900 and each field to 500. A visitor's line breaks are turned into spaces, which keeps one field per line and stops anyone faking an extra field by typing a newline and email:.
Mentions are off, on purpose
Discord's webhook API lets the sender choose which mentions take effect, which matters whenever the text was written by strangers. Anticode sends every post with an empty allowed-mentions list. The words @everyone, @here, a role mention or a user id all show up as written, but nobody is notified by them. Your channel's own notification settings still decide whether members hear about new messages in general.
Security
- The URL is the key. Anyone with it can post to that channel, so treat it like a password and don't share screenshots of the webhook page.
- Sealed after saving. Anticode encrypts it (AES-256-GCM, tied to your account and this connector) and the dashboard never displays it again.
- Never in your site. Delivery happens on Anticode's server; the published page and the builder don't contain the URL.
- Revoking it. If it leaks, delete the webhook in Discord, create a new one and paste the new URL into Anticode.
What this connector doesn't do
- It doesn't post embeds, buttons or files. Messages are plain text with a bold heading.
- It's one connector per account, used by every site you publish. You can't send one site to #bookings and another to #shop.
- It sends each submission once. If Discord is down or rate-limits the post, it's not retried; the submission remains in the project's Submissions, where you can read or export it.
- It can't reply to the visitor. Answer by email from the address in the message.
Fixing a webhook that goes quiet
- Test fails with 404
- Someone deleted the webhook or the channel. Create a new webhook and paste it in.
- Test fails with 401 or 403
- The URL is incomplete or no longer valid, often because only part of it was copied. Copy it again from the webhook settings.
- Test fails with 429
- Discord is rate-limiting that webhook. Wait a minute and try again; avoid sharing one webhook with other busy tools.
- Nothing for a real form
- Check the connector shows On. Submissions past a free site's monthly allowance are held and not posted.

Questions people ask
Do I need a Discord bot for this?
No. A channel webhook posts messages without a bot account or any hosting.
What if someone sends junk through the form?
It arrives as a message like any other, but with mentions switched off it can only add text to the channel, never ping members. Keep the webhook on a channel set aside for forms.
Can I send different forms to different channels?
Not with this connector: one Discord webhook serves every form on every site you publish. Use the generic webhook with an automation tool if you need routing.
Is my webhook URL visible on my website?
No. It stays encrypted on Anticode's server and is only used there.
