Anticode vs Gamma: a deck tool that publishes pages, or a builder made only for websites
Gamma makes presentations, documents and webpages from a prompt, and any of them can be published as a site on gamma.site or your own domain. Anticode builds only websites and apps, so the forms, bookings, content collections and pre-publish checks are the point rather than an extra. If the page grows out of a deck or a document, Gamma is the shorter road; if the site has to take enquiries, Anticode fits better.
The short answer
Pick Gamma if the thing you're publishing started life as slides or a document: a pitch, a proposal, an event handout, a portfolio you already present. One tool covers the deck, the doc and the web version, and editing stays the same in each. Pick Anticode if the website is the product: a business site that needs a contact form wired to your inbox, a booking calendar, a price list or pages your team updates from a dashboard.
Where a Gamma site comes from
Gamma's help article on creating and publishing a site describes a site as the published version of a gamma doc or deck, served on a gamma.site subdomain or a domain you own. You either convert an existing gamma with Publish to Site, or start one from the Sites tab with a prompt or a blank gamma, choose a theme and generate. Sites can have one page or several, and Gamma does the hosting.
Creation in general works in three modes, according to Gamma's creation guide: Generate drafts from a topic, Paste formats text you already have, and Import turns a PowerPoint, a document or a web page into a styled gamma. The newer flow starts with a conversation in which an AI agent asks a few questions before it builds.
Anticode's Architect also asks before it builds, up to three questions where the answer would change the result, then shows a plan with the name, sections, look and features. The difference is what comes out: a page laid out by a design engine in one of seven design systems, with forms and pages chosen for a website rather than a slide sequence.

Plans, credits and domains
Gamma's plans article lists Free, Plus, Pro, Ultra and Business. Free credits don't refresh. Plus gives 1,000 monthly credits and removes the Made with Gamma badge; Pro gives 4,000, adds password protection, detailed viewer analytics and custom domains for up to 10 multi-page sites; Ultra raises that to 20,000 credits and 100 sites. Subscriptions are per user, so two people on Pro pay twice. Gamma's pricing page didn't load for us on 24 October 2026, so amounts are left out here.
To connect a domain, Gamma's custom domain guide says the site must sit in a paid workspace, each domain serves one site, and www and the bare domain are treated as one, so a www-only address isn't supported. Anticode connects your own domain on any paid plan by CNAME or TXT verification with the certificate issued automatically, and its plans are charged by build allowance rather than per user; see pricing.
What the site can do once it's live
Gamma's site help answers two questions directly: sites don't support e-commerce or blogging, and you can disable a site at any time. Its site settings guide covers a navigation bar with up to five links and two buttons, a favicon, and a title, description and URL path for each page.
Anticode's pages carry working parts. Contact, booking and newsletter submissions are saved, sealed at rest and can email you or go to Slack, Google Sheets, Notion, HubSpot and other connectors. The booking calendar refuses double-booked slots. CMS collections give you /news/ style pages your team edits in the dashboard. Buy buttons point at a checkout link from Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad and others, one link per account. See multi-page sites for how separate pages work.
Where Gamma is the better choice
- You present and publish the same material. A deck, a document and its web page live in one tool.
- You start from existing files. Import a PowerPoint, a document or a URL and let Gamma restyle it.
- You want a private page. Password protection comes with Pro; Anticode's published pages are always public.
- You want to see who read it. Pro shows engagement per viewer, while Anticode counts views per site.
Where Anticode is the better choice
- Enquiries have to arrive somewhere. Forms deliver to a sealed inbox, email and connectors.
- People book time with you. A built-in booking calendar, with no embed to set up.
- You want the code. Export a single HTML file or a Next.js project and host it anywhere.
- Checks before publishing. Alt text, keyboard focus, page language and twelve security checks are tested first.
Who should pick which
A founder who pitches from Gamma and wants the pitch online the same afternoon should stay in Gamma. A consultant whose site exists to win calls, or a studio that takes bookings, will get further with Anticode. If you're weighing other tools too, the Gamma alternatives page covers them.
Anticode's limits
Anticode doesn't make slides or documents, and it can't import a PowerPoint or a gamma. Its booking calendar offers six fixed times a day, with no deposits or calendar sync. Design-engine pages can't play video or embed outside widgets, there's no shopping cart beyond payment links, and the builder works in English only. Gamma facts above come from its own help centre on 24 October 2026.
Questions people ask
Can Gamma make a real website?
Yes. Gamma publishes any gamma as a single or multi-page site on gamma.site, or on your own domain from the Pro plan. Its help centre says sites don't support e-commerce or blogging.
Can I move a Gamma site into Anticode?
Not directly. Describe the site to Anticode, mention the pages you need, then paste your text across once it has built.
Which one is cheaper?
They charge differently: Gamma per user with monthly AI credits, Anticode by a daily and weekly build allowance. Compare Gamma's plans with Anticode's pricing page for your use.
